Will Frederick

Will is a senior financial executive with extensive leadership experience and a proven record of developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth, increase profitability and obtain corporate objectives. Will has global experience with publicly traded and privately held companies ranging from early stage start-ups to Fortune 100 enterprises.  His experience spans the company life cycle with experience in founding startups, managing companies through M&A exit strategies, achieving successful turnarounds and executing bankruptcy reorganization efforts.  Will has successfully completed over $850M in private and public financings, M&A transactions and debt instruments for companies during his career. 

Will is currently Founder and Managing Partner of RightPlace Enterprises, a Pittsburgh based advisory firm with Silicon Valley roots that combines deep industry knowledge and expertise in strategy, operations, financial management, and organizational transformation.   Prior to moving to Pittsburgh and founding RightPlace, Will was CFO for the following Silicon Valley based companies:

  • Sysorex, a publicly traded big data analytics company
  • Neural ID, an enterprise biosignal analytics platform company focused on the Health Sciences industry
  • Entelos, a software and services company for Pharma companies to improve drug discovery and development (acquired by Rosa)
  • ​Avaya products division, a $5B global provider of collaboration and communications solutions
  • NovaRay Medical, a Cardiac x-ray imaging device company


Prior to NovaRay, Will’s CFO experience comprises roles with several public companies where he successfully completed sale transactions, including Pharsight (acquired by Certara), Versata (acquired by Trilogy), Clarent (acquired by Verso Technologies) and ACT Networks (acquired by Clarent).  Will’s earlier experience includes roles at The Walt Disney Company, Hughes Aircraft and Ford Aerospace.

Will relocated to Pittsburgh in 2016 and co-founded Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa with offices in Shadyside and Monroeville.  Will also co-founded Next Act Fund, Pittsburgh’s only angel investment fund focused on women-owned and women-led companies. He is also an active member in BlueTree Allied Angels, Pittsburgh’s largest organization of accredited private equity investors. Will has also been actively involved in several non-profit organizations in the Pittsburgh area. He is currently a Board Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Our Clubhouse in Lawrenceville and was previously a Board Member and Treasurer for Kelly Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty.
